10:00 a.m. Empower the Homeless Walk

On Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 10-12, Samaritan Ministry and five Episcopal churches (Church of Our Saviour, Ascension, Christ Church Kensington, Grace Church, Transfiguration) with other local organizations and leaders will be joining together in a walk to empower the homeless. Starting at 10:00 a.m. at Ascension Church (633 Sligo Avenue, Silver Spring), we will walk through downtown Silver Spring to raise local consciousness of the plight of many of our homeless neighbors (10,000 in the Greater Washington area) and to support the work of Samaritan Ministry toward reducing this number. Children and youth, strollers, pets, and signs and banners are all welcome. We will finish at Grace Church where drinks and light refreshments will be available. Please join us and help to reduce homelessness in our area.

Register online at http://bit.ly/SilverSpringWalk with a freewill donation or on site at the event.
