In Christian circles, it is common to think of the Old Testament as featuring a “God of Wrath” and the New Testament introducing a “God of Love.” Not only is this kind of thinking heretical (gasp!), but it is the root of some of the greatest injustices that we encounter today. In this Bible Study, we will challenge these misconceptions, telling the story of the Hebrew Bible with God’s love at the core and wrestling with some of the hardest and seemingly love-less passages in the New Testament.
Classes will meet on Wednesdays, starting Nov. 5 at 7:30 pm in the Chimer Room (Elevator, top floor) and over Zoom. All are welcome!
